The Don Bosco Electronics and Telecommunication Society (DBEATS) is a collaboration of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering students of the college, established in 2012 with the sole aim to develop the students with technical abilities and skills and to keep abreast with the technological advancements. DBEATS conducts many workshops,
Technical Events, competitions, seminars, quizzes, field trips for the students of our college with objective of enriching students with latest technology, practical knowledge beyond the books and prescribed curriculum. Besides this DBEATS invites industry representatives, researchers, academicians to come and share their knowledge and expertise with students. The council is under the guidance of faculty members, Prof. Deron Rodrigues and Prof. D.S. Vidhya. In the recent years DBEATS has been working hard to press the students towards the zenith of developing them in an all-round fashion by adding dimensions to their personality.
Recent Activity: 11TH INSTALLATION OF DBEATS COUNCIL
The 11th annual installation of DBEATS (Don Bosco Electronics and Telecommunication Society) was held on 22nd October 2022 at 10:00 am in the college auditorium.
The Chief Guest for the function was Mrs. Nikita Aditya Aroskar who is currently accountable for training execution power academy at Siemens India. The occasion was graced by the presence of our Director, Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz, Principal, Dr. Neena Panandikar, Head of ETC Department Dr.Varsha Turkar, DBEATS Coordinators, Prof. Michelle Araujo and Prof Deron Rodrigues and DBEATS chairperson Ms. Karen Mendes.
The ceremony commenced with the lightning of the lamp by the Chief Guest and dignitaries followed by a prayer recited by Ms.Adhira Coutinho.
The new DBEATS council members were then introduced by Prof. Michelle Araujo e Viegas and were welcomed by Director, Rev.Fr. Kinley D’Cruz and Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar with flowers and badges.
This was followed by the oath taking ceremony by the following members

- Treasurer – Mr. Benson Fernandes

Thereafter, the dignitaries were escorted to the dais and welcomed with floral bouquets. Principal Dr. Neena Panandikar in her welcome address congratulated the faculty and the students of ETC department for their various achievements. Father Kinley D’Cruz addressed the gathering with his inspirational words.
Ms. Sanika Desai introduced the chief guest of the function, Mrs. Nikita Aditya Aroskar and welcomed her to address the gathering.
The chief guest in her address, guided the students to choose their career, she also encouraged the students to work with discipline towards achieving their goal.
The university toppers of ETC batch 2020, Ms. Sibga Sheikh and Mr. Vaishakh Sanjeevan were felicitated during the function for achieving the 1st and 3rd rank respectively.
As a token of appreciation, Rev. Fr. Kinley D’Cruz presented a memento to the chief guest. Subsequently, the Treasurer Mr. Benson Fernandes proposed a vote of thanks.
