On 25th of June to 4th July 2024, A total of 9 cadets from SFS degree college belonging to 1/1 COY ARMY WING of 1 KAR BN NCC participated in GROUP TSC-I held at Sri Siddharth institute of technology, tumkur.

The GROUP TSC-I (Thal Sainik Camp) is a prestigious and challenging program designed to develop the skills and abilities of young cadets. It was held at the SSIT campus in Tumkur, the camp was conducted by the esteemed 4 Kar Battalion, the cadets underwent a transformative experience that shaped their skills, character, and outlook.

Our Cadets also got an opportunity to be a part of the 10th international yoga day event organized by CISF (Central Industrial Security Force). Where in our Cadets took part in the yoga activity. These sessions highlighted yoga's crucial role in enhancing physical strength, flexibility, mental clarity, and stress resilience, proving invaluable for their rigorous training and future duties Lt Col Manoj Kumar Naik expressed gratitude to all those who made the event possible. A photoshoot was conducted to capture the memories of the event.

The camp was inaugurated by Colonel Gujral on the first day, setting the tone for a thrilling and challenging experience. The cadets from five categories including JDFS, MR, H&H, OT AND FIRING competed against each other on the first day, showcasing their skills and teamwork.
Regular practice sessions and training activities were conducted, including:
‣ Obstacle Training (OT): Cadets were trained at 4 Kar Battalion.
‣ Firing Practice: Cadets honed their marksmanship skills at the range.
‣ Judging Distance and Field Signal (JDFS): Tests and practicals were conducted.
‣ Map Reading (MR): Training was conducted at different destinations each day.


A rigorous selection process was held, with an average score taken from three rounds (1, 2, and 3) to determine the final result. A challenging trekking activity was organized on the last day. The camp concluded with cultural events and a closing ceremony.

As the Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) comes to a close, we would like to take a moment to congratulate the 6 cadets who have been selected to move on to the next stage of their training at TSC-2. This is a remarkable achievement, and a testament to their hard work, dedication, and potential. Their performance in the various categories, including Obstacle Training, Judging Distance and Field Signals, has been outstanding.
