The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) is an integral part of the training regimen for the National Cadet Corps. These camps are organized annually and serve as a platform for cadets from different units to come together, receive intensive training, and demonstrate their skills and knowledge. The CATC aims to build discipline, leadership qualities, and camaraderie among the cadets while providing a hands-on experience in various military and social activities. The Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) at Tumkur, our cadets underwent rigorous training, comprising both theoretical and practical classes. The camp aimed to equip cadets with essential skills and knowledge

Notable events included like
-Youth employment awareness program which Enhanced career guidance, improved job search skills, and increased awareness of employment opportunities.
- Fire emergency and control awareness program: Equipped cadets with life-saving skills, fire safety knowledge, and emergency response techniques.
- Cybercrime and security awareness program: Educated cadets on online safety, cyber threats, and best practices for secure online behavior.
Cadets also participated in firing practice, trekking, and sports activities like throwball, volleyball, and tug-of-war.
A highlight of the camp was the drill competition among four contingents - Alpha 1, Bravo 1, Alpha 2, and Bravo 2. Our college's Cadet Rahuman S led Alpha 1 to victory, securing first place and receiving the trophy.

The activity fostered a spirit of teamwork and cooperation among the cadets, as they worked together to achieve a common goal. The presence of the cadets cleaning the statue also served as a visual reminder to the public about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and honoring national heroes. The statue cleaning activity at Hosa Road was a successful event, reflecting the cadet’s commitment to community service and national pride. By cleaning the statue of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the cadets not only paid tribute to a great visionary but also set an example for the community. This activity reinforced the values of respect, responsibility, and civic duty, which are integral to the ethos of the NCC.

Furthermore, the camp coincided with the Kargil Vijay Diwas celebrations by 4 Kar Bn NCC, where our cadets actively participated, paying tribute to the martyrs and showcasing their patriotism.

Overall, the CATC Tumkur camp was a resounding success, providing cadets with valuable training, skills, and experiences that will benefit them.

We would like to thank our CO COL M R Suresh, AO LT COL Ravindra Singh, SM Rohit, Principal Rev Fr Binu, and our ANO Capt. Sampath Kumar R for providing their constant guidance and support.
