He completed his PhD from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi in June 2025 in the area of Post Harvest Quality grading of Edible Nuts by Physical Properties using Computer Vision and Mechanical Techniques. He has completed Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from SDM College of Engineering & Technology, Dharwad, Karnatak University in the year 1997. He obtained his Masters degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Gogte Institute of Technology, Belagavi, VTU in 2007. He also has a Diploma in Training & Development Indian Society for Training & Development, New Delhi and PGDHRM from IGNOU. He is a recipient of CSI Technext “Best HOD Award” in the year 2016. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers and a Life member of ISTE, NIPM, and Vijnana Bharati.
Ajit Salunke is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering department at Don Bosco College of Engineering. He previously served as Head of the Department for 10 years, starting in October 2012. Before joining Don Bosco College of Engineering, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna, Goa, for 5.5 years, Lecturer in Sapthagiri College of Engineering, Bangalore for 4 months, Training Officer in SESA Goa Ltd., Vedanta Group Company for 5.5 years and Lecturer in R.N.S Polytechnic, Murdeshwar for 1 year & 10 months.
